Been pretty quiet around the BBQ this week. How the heck are you, anyway? What’re you up to, lately?

I’m alive. I would have had 2 posts, but I keep on forgetting to enter my name and e-mail so when I post, I loose everything. Civilly, I throw my computer out the window in rage so I loose my posting capabilities until I get a new one.
Birthday and a new girlfriend mostly accounts for all the time I haven’t been spending on the internet lately. Only so much time I can be at work.
Also, I haven’t really had anything to say about the questions lately. Not that I comment frequently.
Ate some kind of old tuna salad for lunch. I didn’t ask anybody if I should- maybe that isn’t in the spirit of big big question, though. I guess I should ask, then: Should I have eaten it?
I think I set my work computer to not remember anything ever on the internet, so I never manage to stay logged in on this site. It seems too hard to bother logging in if I want to make a dumb comment.
Although! I think if I log into Metafilter, my computer does remember. Huh.
Also, it’s Friday, and a coworker brought her hula hoops to work today to show off her tricks. Yay!
I’ve been busy shopping for sandals online. I don’t care if it’s February (still!), I need sandals.
Oh, and I’ve been working.
I’m not here a whole lot (or anywhere, really), but lately I have been doing a LOT of typing, and then just deleting it in favor of silence. Usually I think “no one cares about this,” but sometimes it’s “I am talking out of my ass.” So I think it’s probably to the general benefit of all that I don’t answer any questions.
Came *so* close to deleting this too, but damn the torpedos, etc.
synaesthetichaze, I admire and applaud your sense of restraint, but if you can’t let your hair down at the BBQ, where can you? Save the type-and-delete for Metafilter; this is the place to opt for type-and-hit-submit-and-cackle.
I’ve been working my ass off (yay overtime pay) and growling at everyone because I’m a little tense. The Internet has eluded me all week; pretty much all I’ve had time for was achewood and a glance at the character run-downs for The Tudors. I’ve only watched one episode. I think I’ll like it, but I’m not sure yet– something about it kind of annoyed me, but that may be my bad mood talking. On a cheerier note, I had pizza for lunch for 5 days in a row, but I show no signs of getting sick of it so I won’t have to shock my system by eating anything else.
It’s two weeks before Spring Break, with lots of students’ assignments in progress that they need help with, so lately I’ve had to [shudder] work for a living, which leaves so little time for the really important things. Plus this is when the annual edumacation burnout typically sets in and makes me even more likely than usual to sprawl passively drooling at assorted Netflix rather than taxing myself with the InteractiveNets. Also, much as I dislike it when people who’ve lived in Michigan for decades bitch about, surprise!, winter, February has been a tad relentless this year, leading to sluggishness and nap attacks. I’m relatively certain there’ll be a thaw on all these fronts eventually.
Wait, it’s only one more (hellish) week ’til Spring Break. I feel so much better. Landlord, bring us a round of your biggest and finest questions!
I’m in a funk, which I plan on trading in for a huff. But, knowing me, I’ll probably end up in a stupor.
The premiere of my new play coupled with grant writing frenzy has kept me away from everything.
Including doing the dishes, shoveling the walk, buying groceries….Hopefully, after this weekend I’ll see the light!
I’ve been busy setting up a new blog. Also just got thrown another project, which, if you checked your email, I asked you about because you know so much about project-type stuff. But that’s okay, *sob*, I’ll figure it out on my own.
Once again, real life has interfered with my onlineness.
Real life fun tends to intervene and leave again, but not before reminding me that I don’t really know that much. It does this by getting me really drunk.
If I was doing any better, I’d be twins.
I miss posting at the BBQ.
But no, most of my time has been spent either practicing for or going to the ridiculous amounts of gigs the Samba band’s been scheduled for this week, or researching and writing my Politics essay. 25% of a full-year-course and I get to write about the gender wage gap. Yay me. So in other words, I’m sulking.
But on the other hand, things with the boy are most excellent, which makes up for crappy coursework any day.
It hurts when I beat the sales peeps.
