-A tornado coming towards my house or whatever building I am in; rarely the tornado actually hits.
-Staying in a different house; while the house often belongs to a relative, the houses are never from real life.
-Not so much flying, but either floating about as high as a tree, in a standing position. Occasionally slow falling… it’s like I can jump really high in slow motion.
I do have lucid dreams… I can sometimes say to myself “obviously I am dreaming!” and I can control what happens next. Often if I am being chased by someone, I can will myself far enough away that they can’t reach me. Sometimes I can say, “oh this is a dream, I’m going to eat this piece of cake!”
I used to have a weekly dream about needing to use the facilities of a restroom, but not being able to. The toilet is clogged, there is no door on the stall, people burst in and interrupt. This recurrance stopped for the most part when I had a lucid bathroom dream and was able to stop myself from going into the bathroom because I knew the toilet would be clogged. I have only had that dream once now in 6 months.
I have a recurring dream in which I’m back in my last semester of college. Graduation is approaching and I’m ready to start the job I had already lined up the previous fall, but I find out that I’m about to fail a required class that I somehow forgot about or neglected so thoroughly that a passing grade is unobtainable. I always wake up before any sort of resolution. It usually takes a minute or two before I can convince myself that I really did graduate and I didn’t lose my job. Ugh.
Oh! That reminds me, mullacc… I often dream about being back in high school. In my dream, for some reason they let me graduate, but asked me to come back and re-take a couple of classes. I even know that IRL I’m a college graduate, and try go to the office to tell them that and quit. I often ditch classes in my dream too (something I never did in real life in high school).
