Do you suppose spam is actually just the God of the Internet’s way of saying “make a new post already, dammit?”
Is there an underlying karmic infrastructure to the internet? If not that, precisely, what other latent metaphysical metaphors do you think could apply to the blogosphere?

Okay, let's hear it.

My goodness, I certainly wasn’t expecting that to show up in RSS reader.
Yeah. BBQ is now a man, I guess. Sorry about the unexpected schlong patrol last night, for those who saw it; let’s hope that doesn’t recur.

OK, I know I am just a volunteer mod, and now you are a fancy full-time paid one, but jeez sir could you at least pretend to read my memos?
The question for me is how safe am I to pour bleach in my ears after that? First Fox Sports, now you!
Man, dang ol’ spammers. I’ve tweaked the post queue so that first posts require approval now; everybody should be able to save some money on bleach going forward.
Spam is God’s way of making sure we get our sodium nitrite.
This is getting a bit ridiculous; just nixed three more.
I closed down the other day what I thought was the wide-open door through which this stuff was marching, but that’s clearly not what’s up. This may just be a straight-up exploit of the aging version of WP on which BBQ is running. I did a bit of tweaking of the core files putting the site together, and that’s going to be a bit of a headache to duplicate when I upgrade, but at this point we’ve got a headache anyway!
Well that was an interesting RSS update!
